- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆This Police department is the biggest joke I have ever came across. I get pulled over for a busted out tail light that when I was in a car accident another agency cop told me my car was okay to drive and didn't tell me anything was illegal with the vehicle. Now all of a sudden its a HUGE CONCERN. I've been going through hell suing this company that has been trying to fight to pay me so I can get my car fixed because I don't have thousands of dollars to get fixed. Nor does the average person have thousands of dollars to fix. Officer Fuller watched my car for a full week after pulling me over the first time telling me about it and I was fully aware. But when you work have 2 kids and trying to go to court as a single parent its not easy. They will harass you and will threaten you with writing you a ticket over the pettiest things. I am just amused how they have time to sit in my neighborhood all day and not patrol the area! I will be calling the chief and speaking with him about this. Obliviously not every cop in every agency is fully aware of the law and I think there is some reeducation that is needed for every agency (including kent) that has not pulled me over for this light if it is such an issue! I could not believe that I have gotten pulled over for something so petty. Kent needs something else to do other than harass young black citizens that have no intention of making kent a bad place. Its sad to say but me being a black young respected women I've seen them harass other black individuals and even come to my house arrest my boyfriend and lie and say they got my consent to search which never happened. Til this day when they see my boyfriend they speak to him just to be in his business probably to see what else they can arrest him for. But any who if you talk to any black citizen in Kent they are not lying some cops of KPD are racist! if they could get 0 stars they would get it from me!By Jade Mcdonald, January 15, 2017
